Hello, my husband and I are planning to stay at Mercure Sydney this year and was wondering which room type you would recommend? Options are ... King Deluxe Corner Room city view or Queen With Balcony Our 1st stay at this hotel and any tip / recommendations would be very welcome! thanks

Yes city view for sure. You get the night lights and the busy early morning hustle. Much more interesting.

depends on your purpose to visit. The hotel is by the station with main road outside. so you will not sit on the balcony in the peace and quiet. If sightseeing you will not be spending much time in the room so the corner room would be better plus your get the room upgrades. This is an ideal location to visit Sydney the hotel staff can help and the hop on /off tour bus starts by the station 5 min away.

Agree with comment below. Balcony is noisy . I prefer views

From memory I picked the balcony room which was nice but the view wasn’t as good as I would have liked and took in the public transport so I would select the city view if I was to stay again

Hi Mary. I stay at Mercure Sydney as love the location. In my experience, most room views here are very similar so it would come down to whether you and your husband would enjoy using the balcony, and if not, spoil yourself and go for the king size bed. Hope this helps.

Hello, I like Queen With Balcony to get Fresh air - you can open the door. Balcony is small but you can sit the & have a drink . It feels good. Enjoy.

Hey hey, queen with a balcony is good if you want outside space, but it's a busy location so not quiet. A big hotel in busy Sydney location ... trains, buses, cars and interesting people - a big city feel. I'd recommend the King Deluxe Corner Room City unless you want outside space. Best
