Lots, you can visit the city, take a city cat down the river and stop off at some great bars, lawn bowls clubs and restaurants, go to eat streets on the weekend at Hamilton. Southbank is great for food, drinks, walks along the river, local markets, visiting the theatre, swimming in the pool/beach on the river and taking a ride on the Brisbane Wheel. Go to West End for great Asian food, visit Fortitude Valley and China Town for yum cha, check out the Planetarium and Botanical Gardens at Mount Cootha or take a drive a bit further west and you will end up in the mountains, and if you go all the way to Toowoomba, the Great Dividing Range. If you like the ocean, take a trip over to Stradbroke Island for the day or over night. It's only an hour to the Gold Coast or the Sunshine Coast for great swimming and surfing and there are lots of things to do on the way to either, including visiting Bribie Island and the theme parks.
Brisbane has many shops and restaurants and all are easily accessible due to the layout of the city. Southbank is a short stroll over the bridge and has many riverside restaurants and a baring pool. Roma Parklands is beautiful and has a children’s play area as well as a beautiful flower garden, water wall and fountains. There are art galleries, theatres and cinemas. The botanical garden is well worth a visit too.
